 HERE’S A RECAP…

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Good question! We do this because we care about the families in our community. We know that nearly everyone is out trick-or-treating, and it is difficult at times to know that your kids are going to be given candy that is safe, or that they will not be spooked by someone who is out trying to cause trouble. So, what better time for a church to come together to make a fun, safe, family-oriented event for families to create memories at?

  • This event is FREE! This fun, safe, family-oriented Halloween event is our gift to our community.

  • Over the years this event has become pretty well known and tends to draw people by the thousands. Although we have parking available for hundreds of cars, at the busiest time (7:00-8:30pm) of the night our parking lot tends to fill up. So please plan to come with plenty of time to find a parking spot. We have two large parking lots on the east and west side of our campus.

  • Yes! We have four experiences for toddlers. 1) Trunk Row where kids of all ages can trick-or-treat at over 50 different decorated car trunks. 2) An inflatable designed and reserved for toddler aged kiddos. 3) A petting zoo with bunnies, goats, tortoises, and a mini horse. 4) A 5-minute train ride! Kiddos of all ages can board our Block Party express for a safe and fun ride around the norther part of our campus.

  • Yes! We have experiences for all high school and middle school aged students. 1) Black Light Laser tag will take place in our main auditorium. 2) Trunk Row where kids/students of all ages can trick-or-treat at over 50 different decorated car trunks. 3) We have hired a professional DJ who will play music, host flash dances, & announce giveaways. 4) FOOD! We have 5 food trucks serving everything from sweet drinks and shaved ice, to hot & fresh food for purchase!

  • Yes! There will be 50 or so trunks in our “Trunk Row” passing out candy to whoever stops by! It is difficult to stop at 50 houses in one night when walking through neighborhoods. The candy collection at our Block Party should not disappoint!

  • Our event is designed to be family friendly. Everything that we are doing is specifically designed not to be very scary. That said, obviously we cannot control the costumes that people from our community will wear.

  • There is currently no mask policy for this event. However, it is Halloween! So, if you would like to wear a mask because of the large crowds that will be present, you could always find a creative way to work it into your costume!

COMPASS KIDS

The goal of Compass Kids is for children from Birth through 5th grade to encounter Jesus & His word and apply it in a fun, hands-on way.

We are eager to work with your family to lay a solid spiritual foundation for your children so they can become resilient disciples of Jesus in this world. We recognize safety, quality Biblical education and kid-sized fun is critical to making your child's visit to Discovery Land not only memorable but life-changing.

COMPASS STUDENTS

Our approach to student ministries is simple:  We believe that students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. That’s why we make relationship-building a big part of everything we do. Each week, we meet for Midweek services on Wednesday nights and Student Connection Groups on Sunday nights.

Our events are designed to help students grow in their love and understanding of God, all while developing relationships with other students and leaders that will help them keep moving forward throughout the highs and lows of teenage years. Kids ages 6th-12th grade. are welcome here!
