WHO WE ARE
Compass Students is the student ministry of Compass Church in Goodyear, AZ, for students in grades 6-12.
OUR MISSION
We exist to help middle and high school students find their way to God.
OUR VISION
To see students know Jesus and make Him known. More specifically, we want to see every student in the West Valley hear the Gospel from a friend.

In all that we do at Compass Students we want the life-transformational message of Jesus Christ shared in word and action. The gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ is not just the ABCs of Christianity, it is the A-Z. We believe in the power of the gospel to save us and transform our lives.

The good news of Jesus Christ is too good to keep to ourselves! Motivated by a love for God and for our friends, we strive to see the 26,000+ teenagers in the West Valley to hear the gospel from a friend.

Jesus said follow me AND I will make you a fisher of men. We want to help students take a first or next step towards following Jesus AND to take a step towards helping their friends know Jesus. We aim to do this by equipping and empowering students to move from consumers to disciple makers. We believe that the best way to get a student to grow is to get them to go.

We want to be relational in all that we do at Compass Students because we know through belonging in Christ and in His church family we can become who we were created to be.
At Growing Deep, you can expect:
Time to connect with friends in a welcoming environment with games and donuts.
To be equipped through God’s Word to know Jesus and make Him known.
Grow in community through table groups with other students and led by leaders.
GROWING DEEP
Growing Deep is our small group environment for middle school students. At Growing Deep students are split up into table group discussions where they can connect and grow alongside one another.
Sundays from 9:00-10:00 AM
Grades 6-8
Location: Student Room - A3
HS GROUPS
Midweek is our weekly student service for middle and high school students. Midweek is not just a place to attend, it’s where you can belong and become who you were created to be. It’s where students can come and see who Jesus is and then go and tell others who Jesus is.
At Midweek, you can expect:
To have fun hanging out with friends over food, games, and through shared experiences like our Compass Rivals challenges!
WHEN WE MEET
MIDWEEK
Large group sessions where you see, hear, and experience the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ through a powerful time of worship led by our student band and a Christ-centered message from God’s Word.
Small groups where you are encouraged to take the next step in knowing Jesus and making Him known. Groups are split up based on age and gender.
Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 PM
Grades 6-12
Location: Family Life Central
At HS Groups, you can expect:
Time to connect with friends in a welcoming environment.
To be equipped through God’s Word to know Jesus and make Him known.
Experience the love of Christ through a close-knit community.
High School Groups are our small group environment for high school students. At HS Groups students are split up by age and gender based small groups where they can connect and grow alongside one another.
